LINYA
This collection is a new body of work centered on materiality and the act of weaving. The project explores the encounter and reaction between contrasting materials within a single composition, allowing difference to become structure and rhythm. It began with the combination of rattan from Ivory Coast, thin yet rigid, interlaced with Moroccan trimmings, soft and flexible, establishing a weaving system defined by tension and balance.
This language was first translated into framed artworks such as BLUE INTERVAL, currently presented at the 1-54 Art Fair in Marrakech. The collection remains in active development, with the intention of expanding both materials and weaving systems across new products and surfaces, extending the dialogue between texture, technique, and contemporary form.
