BLUE INTERVAL is a contemporary weaving and mixed-media triptych created exclusively for In Between Blues, a project by Ablaakssa presented during @154ArtFair Marrakech.

The piece is composed of Moroccan trimmings, including Sfifa, a traditional passementerie historically used in caftans and djellaba, combined with rush, a material valued for its natural rigidity.

Part of the LINYA Collection, the work explores the dialogue between these contrasting textures. The supple threads of Sfifa intertwine with the firm structure of rush, generating a subtle tension and rhythmic composition across the surface.
